Alice Tags Swap

Well, I finally got mine finished and sent off! This was my first try at making tags and I had a great time making them.

I tried to use everything that I have here at home rather than going out to buy new stuff to make them. With the exception of the tags themselves and the 'I'm Late' clock, everything came from my stash of stuff.

Take a look...

The silver backing is from a Rolo piece of candy that I ate just for this project.

The paper I printed off with my printer and then tea-dyed. The cat background is those silk leaves that we all have in our homes. I wanted him to look primitive and the picture that came to mind is the one where he is in the tree and he is invisible and all you see is his smile. The flower is a leather flower that who knows where it came from and I sewed the beads on it and glued a vintage button in the center. The heart is a wooden heart from a collection of wooden hearts I have and I glittered it up and added a few beads to the top and glued on a floral gold heart button. Through the Looking Glass is an actual mirror and I sewed beads around it.

Global Exchange Store

I came across a reference to this store in the September 2008 issue of Country Home and went over to check it out. It is an actual store front and they have a website as well here. There is a variety of product to choose from and it is all made in a fair way that doesn't abuse the people that make it and a lot of it is recycled. A great place to go for that special gift.

Hello again!

I've been away working on another venture with a friend, but wanted to get back to what I initially started before I got a bit sidetracked on that bend of the road. How many times has that happened to us?  Too many times I'm sure! Bear with me as I get restarted on this turn of the corner and a new adventure! My vision has always been to offer memories of our past, gifts of our hearts to offer to others. Visit me again as I open my heart to you and bring the things that mean so much to me and that I know in one way or another mean so much to you as well. Visit often - we have a lot of sharing to offer you!

Lavender Poppy Seeds - For a beautiful Spring display!

Description

Name: Lavender Papaver
Type: Annual
Light: Full sun
Height: 2' – 3’
Bloom: Late Spring - Summer

NOW IS THE TIME TO ORDER FOR A BEAUTIFUL SPRING DISPLAY....

Light lavender petals with darker purple throats. These are a Spring annual. In mild winter climates, plant seeds in prepared soil in Late Autumn or early Winter. In colder areas, plant as soon as the soil can be worked.

This is a lovely poppy that has been growing in my organic garden for a few years. The petals are paper thin and flutter in the wind. A very pretty flower in the garden. The seed heads are excellent in a dried flower arrangement or by themselves in a beautiful vase.

Very dependable grower for the spring garden that loves the cool weather to germinate. I love this flower in my Spring garden!

Harvested: Spring 2009
Comes in a 1 teaspoon full package which is more than enough for a beautiful spring flower display.
